- Scenario 1: Language Arts/History
Written: Compentency Goal 10: WWII and the Beginning of the Cold War - The learner will analyze the United States involvement in WWII and the war's influence on international affairs in the following decades. The students will create a trifold labeled "WWII and the use of the OperativesSpiesSaboteurs". The 1st panel will be used for students to note pre-knowledge of subject matter; the 2nd panel will be used for students to note what like know about subject matter; and the 3rd panel will be used for students to note what they have learned about subject matter.
Depending upon the class size, students will work in pairs of 2 or 4s to facilitate the collaboration part.

Written: A fifth grade math teacher is introducing Goal 3.01, Identify, define, describe, and accurately represent triangles, quadrilaterals, and other polygons. To show conceptual understanding of the topic, the students will use a wiki. The students will tour the campus and take pictures of obtuse, acute and right angles. They will then post the pictures to the class collaboration wiki. Each student will post a description with each picture along with other examples of the angle. Students will then post a reflection in the discussion board about how angles are a part of their everyday life.
